В общем, не знаю, УМВР. Может, конечно, дело в зависимостях. Если не
лень, попробуй поставить gnome-desktop, gnome-panel и nautilus (по этим
зависимостям почти вся основа GNOME и вытягивается, собственно). Ну
gnome-session, хотя это уже диковато.
