Заметил в логе кернела некую ругань:

По некоторым советам -переименоваk /etc/inittab.rpmnew в /etc/inittab
(предварительно сделав бэкап оригинального /etc/inittab)!
Тепер получил другйо косяк - не зпускается dm. Чего не хватает?
