В hwdatabase 0.3.17 вместо slamr (smartlink modem) прописаны slamrmo.
Видимо, slamr когда-то и был этим slamrmo ? Потому в случае конструкции:

driver 2.6|snd-intel8x0m

будет все время загружаться snd-intel8x0m. Бага? Если да - то патч уже
есть и опробован. ;-)
P.S. Об snd-intel8x0m. Он хоть и работает, но имеет неприятное свойство
при работе с slmоdemd: очень часто не ложит трубку, если во время
импульсного набора этот самый набор прервать. Тут даже не сам модуль
виноват - а прослойка в виде libalsa, через api которой slmodemd
общается с snd-intel8x0m. Где-то в ней race возникает. Посему
предпочтительно snd-intel8x0m использовать только при отсутствии slamr.
