Вай Аллах! Да у Вас там дикая петрушка из alsa и oss. Нужно всё же
решить, какую звуковую подсистему использовать, а то глюков можно не
обобраться...

Если не хочется визиться с hotplug'ом или он убит/глючит/не работает,
можно просто поместить предложенные Валерием строчки в /etc/modules.conf
