Что бы это значило?
/var/log/messages:
Oct 10 17:54:06 levsha acpid: acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: Device or
resource busy
Oct 10 17:54:06 levsha acpid: acpid startup failed
При этом сервис acpid выключен:
# chkconfig --list acpid
acpid 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off
Ядро 2.4.29-std-up-alt6
Чипсет nVidia Corporation nForce2

Так у меня сервис acpid выключен, я же писал. С какой стати он вообще пытается
стартовать?? Вешать багу? На что, на startup, services, acpid?

Привет!
Если я что нибудь в чем нибудь понимаю, acpid запускается
автоматом сервисом power. Я похожую фигню обошел запуском
сервиса hal после сервиса power.
Хотя наверняка есть более кошерное решение.

Если вам не нужен старт сервиса acpid, просто выключите сервис power.
Если нужен - обновите acpid, включите его и удавите power (apt-get remove).
