Почитав сообщения в рассылке, вчера решил тоже попробовать новый xorg.
Скачал, собрал. OOо - 1.1.4, с новым xorg не пересобирался. Графика -
intel 915 gm
Результат: был жутко удивлен раза в 2 ускорившимся запуском xorg
(init/startx). Колеса gears теперь крутятся практически с утроенной
скоростью ( xorg 6.8.2 при 24 bpp выдавал 200 попугаев, сейчас - в
районе 700). Quake 3 - летает (сравним по скорости с geforce440go) .
Глюки с ООо - не наблюдались... Субъективно - 2d отрисовывается в wm
более шустро.
??? maybe Sisyphus from scratch ? :-D
P.S. Вспоминая какое-то из обсуждений о времени сборки xorg - сборка на
Pentium M 1.6 , 256 mb, reiser 3.6 - 50 минут.
