Нет, конечно. Все, что было сделано - это пара тычков мышкой в синаптике.

Когда service udevd start, то файла нет. Нужно правило писать, я
попробовал, сразу не получилось, бросил пока.
Проще было chkconfig --del udevd
А файл /dev/slamr0 создает ядерный модуль slamr. А slmodemd кушает его и
делает /dev/ttySLM0, что есть равно /dev/pts/0 :)
