Миша, спасибо, благодаря тебе я быстрее разобрался с новой проблемой ;-)
2shrek: после апгрейда до xorg-*-alt10 apt уже не пытается снести 227Mb
разных пакетов во время удаления лишних драйверов. Теперь проблема
видоизменилась: удаляются "всего лишь" нужные мне Free86-cyr_rfx-fonts-*
Дело в том, что при попытке удалить лишние xorg-x11-drv-*, вслед за
удалением этих драйверов, удаляется пакет xorg-x11, который
предоставляет XFree86 = 4.4
А у XFree86-cyr_rfx-fonts-*, в Requires указано XFree86 > 3.2
Я окончательно растерялся, с какой стороны повесить баг...
P.S. Некогда копать почему, но без XFree86-cyr_rfx-fonts-* в моей
системе с LANG=ru_RU.CP1251 проблемы со шрифтами лезут от xterm до
vmware :-\
