Это, вероятно, из-за того, что XFree86 провайдит только пакет xorg-x11,
поэтому удаление любой
из необязательных компонент входящих в состав xorg, вызывает удаление
вышеназванного пакета,
а за ним, как следствие, всё, что требует XFree86. Я столкнулся с этим
вчера с аналогичной попыткой
удалить не нужное.
