Приветствую.
Имею машинку PII 350 (не целерон), разогнанную до 392 :-)
196 мб памяти.
hdparm -t /dev/hda показывает 14 Мб/с
DVD-ROM на /dev/hdd
Сизиф от 26 мая и xine оттуда
с ядром 2.4.22 (Компактовским) хоть плохонько, но можно смотреть DVD
(хотя я ожидал намного бОльшего). При попытке смениться на 2.6.6 wks
тормоза достигают невероятных размеров. Честно говоря сменить ядро
мытался в связи с анонсированное бОльше производительностью десктоп
приложений.
Два вопроса: моей конфигурации достаточно для нормального проигрывания
DVD (не divx же!)?
Это нормально, что 2.6 медленнее 2.4?
Или я все-таки чегой-то неправильно понял - сделал? (это уже третий вопрос)
