Ктоподскажет почему не всегда выдается вот такое сообщение,
иногда нормально иногда нет!
В чем может быть причина?

Совсем недавно разбирался с pptpd, правда с другой проблемой, мне помог вот этот
faq: http://www.vibrationresearch.com/pptpd/pptpd-FAQ.txt
Там сказано:
pptpd uses TCP port 1723 for the control connection, and protocol 47
for the data connection. Note that the latter is a PROTOCOL, not a port.
Так что для начала следует проверить возможность соединения с сервером с
процессом на порту 1723. Проверить настройки пакетных фильтров на клиенте,
сервере и по пути следования пакетов.
