До того как писать сюда просьбу помощи пробовал копировать в

получив ваш совет попробовал и в
/var/spool/postfix/etc/mysql_mailbox_maps.cf.
Однако не помогает.
Есть ли возможность как-нибудь к этому постфиксу, вернее, к его
компоненте virtual, приделать strace? Как вообще такие штуки отлаживают?
