установил desktop 4 lite.
настроил репозиторий на sisyphus и попытался поставить kde4.
kde4base-runtime-4.0.2-alt2 kde4base-workspace-4.0.2-alt3 показали зависимости на kde3 пакеты.
вручную установил runtime и workspace с --nodeps и kde заработало.
Зависимости не нужны?
