Я так понимаю, что под бранчем в данном случае понимается нечто большее,
чем просто репозиторий пакетов, потому что возможность "пополняться
пакетами в ручном режиме" для репозиториев не реализована.

На самом деле это зависит от того, насколько дестабилизирующими окажутся
пакеты, отправленные в Сизиф 23-24 апреля. Существует ненулевая
вероятность того, что бранч придется ветвить от какого-то относительно
стабильного состояния Сизифа 23-го апреля.
