Попробуйте из текстовой консоли (без X-ов):
1) Удалить каталог /var/tmp/kdecache-<username>
2) Проверить установку прав на ~/,kde и ~/.kde4 (что у Вас есть)
3) Проверить каталоги $TMPDIR, $TMP, $TEMP и удалить оттуда каталоги,
относящиеся к KDE.
Можно попробовать отодвинуть каталог ~/.kde4 в сторону и посмотреть, будет ли
падать.
