В файле /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/40-mount-subfs-storage-
policy.fdi есть такой кусочек:

Попробуйте его закомментировать или удалить.
В своё время, AFAIR, это делалось для того, чтобы избежать попыток монтировать
дважды софт-рейды на NTFS - это единственное отличие, которое мне удалось
найти.
Но, кажется, volume.fsversion может быть пустой и в абсолютно безобидных
случаях.
Если останутся проблемы, или возникнут новые - шлите логи заново.
