Понятно. Получается, что ещё и смысла нет: регрессия или результат
этой адаптации, или, вообще, ядерная проблема... :-(

173.14.xx в смысле ? Я про 71.XX.XX не писал, минимум, что мне может
оказаться интересно - 96.43.xx.
Кстати, можно попросить отметиться в

Может, имеет смысл для legacy какой-то блэклист начать вести ? Или,
например, просто всегда выбирать nv при установке, если видеокарта
не поддерживается последним драйвером, а попытку поставить legacy
оставить пользователю, возможно, с инструкцией ? SuSe, как говорят,
ставит именно nv.
