Медиасервер, фаервол и файлокачалка совсем не обязательно должны
жить на одной железке.

Представьте себе - интергрируются. При чём все. Впрочем,
поскольку Вы не поняли в чём заключается эта "интеграция",
принцип работы upnpd Вам не очень понятен.
