Я не юзал truecrypt, потому сравнивать не могу (well, я даже не знаю, где
в нём реализовано шифрование и требует ли он ядерного модуля), но в LUKS
мне нравится то, что его ядерная часть в mainline, а пользовательская -
судя по размеру, практически только обёртка, да и вроде давно более-менее
стандарт.
