А tcpdump на dhcpd-сервере что-нибудь ловит от этой машине? И в логах там что?
Что касается предыдущих разборок с неполучением адреса в момент загрузки
системы (не помню, к чему там всё пришло), я тут локализовал свой случай:
дело было в _очень_ долгом подъёме набортной сетевушки под atl1e, подключенной
к 3com гигабит свитчу. Т.е. помогал только таймаут > полутора(!!!!) минут для
dhcpcd.
Подключение к другому свитчу проблему временно для меня решило (да и то не до
конца, сетевуха почему-то упорно 100 мбит работает).
