Прибить в /etc/iftab, желательно с именами НЕ eth*:
ext mac 00:02:44:6b:77:0e

Зачем тогда там сизиф? :)
Можете сбэкапить корень (cp -ax, rsync -PavHx и другие варианты
не зацепить лишние ФС), попробовать дист-апгрейднуться --
поскольку эту проблему не сильно давно решали более системно
-- и если не понравится, то по крайней мере rsync назад.
Только rescue/livecd на всякий стоит заготовить.
