Вы что-то сильно перепутали.
1. в репозитории 5.0/branch находятся ядра семейства 2.6.27 и
соответствующие им пакеты с заголовочными файлами;
2. в репозитории Sisyphus находятся также ядра семейства 2.6.29 и
соответствующие им пакеты с заголовочными файлами;
3. для самостоятельной сборки модулей vmware вам НЕ понадобится свежий
пакет glibc-kernheaders, вместо этого вам нужно установить пакет с с
заголовочными файлами того конкретного ядра, для которого вы собираетесь
собирать модули vmware.
