Господа, пользуется ли кто-нибудь функциональностью "Using IPython for
parallel computing" или все зависимости на foolscap, twisted и прочее
можно смело отрывать?

foolscap - это http://foolscap.lothar.com ?
Я его планировал собрать - или уже кто-то занимается?
А twisted - что имеется в виду?
PS. А ipython не пользуюсь ;)

Соберите ipython и ipython-parallel, зачем же сразу "отрывать"?

Во-1-х, отрывать проще, чем выделять в другой пакет, во-2-х, не все
зависимости (включая foolscap) есть в сизифе. Но вообще я обнаружил в
спеке %set_python_req_method "strict" и оторвал его, теперь с
зависимостями будет получше.

Сейчас там более правильный gcc-common.
