Hi

для владельцев видео карт от intel по адресу 
ftp://ftp.altlinux.ru/pub/people/shrek/Xorg-7.4 выложены xorg-drv-intel и 
Mesa с включенным TTM 
(http://www.tungstengraphics.com/wiki/index.php/TTM_Memory_Manager)
там же kernel-modules-drm-std-def-2008.08.01-alt1.132633.9 (на случай если 
kernel-modules-drm-std-def-2008.04.28-alt1.132633.9 откажется работать)
просьба протестировать, на моем TP X61s 3D стало работать заметно лучше, и 
главное пропало зависание иксов после "service dm restart". более всего 
интересны результаты на картах ниже i965

На 24bit иксы не поднимаются вообще,

На всякий случай:

На 16bit стартуют, но glxgears падают тут же c segfault, в логах:

с i855 вечно проблемы непонятного вида. видимо придется отключать ТТМ и 
продолжать ждать GEM

в общем можно уже не изгаляться. в xorg-drv-intel-2.4.2-alt6 я добавил новую 
опцию "TTM", которая включает TTM, по умолчанию он выключен
