Если рядом есть .rpmnew -- может иметь смысл этот в сторонку,
а тот -- в apt.conf.
Но повторюсь, минимум один случай с немонтирующейся из initrd
rootfs у меня вот наблюдался. Кстати, это было не .25, а
2.6.24-std-def-9; кроме нескольких std-def (ещё .25), есть
несколько 2.6.26-wks-smp.
