Кто мешает обновлять в наших сборках ядра модули с sourceforge? Если б ещё и
ядро у нас было "чисто ванилла", а то ведь и так "перепатченное"...

А чего его "отпиливать"? Отключить в .config и собирать с давно существующего
kernel-source-kvm.
