Я готовлю rubygems версии 1.0.1. В новой версии
/usr/lib/ruby/gems передет в /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems. Это можно
сделать двумя способами. Либо ничего по этому поводу не делать,
либо делать mv /usr/lib/ruby/gems/* /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/
где-ньдь в %pre. Что скажут благодарные пользователи сизифной
сборки rubygems?

Ruby не использую, но вот мысль что-то пакетить в /usr/local кажется не очень
правильной. На сколько я понимаю, там лежит всякий мусор, который не относится
к дистрибутиву. Или нет ?

Это заметно ;-)

rubygems - это такой "пакетный менеджер" для рубёвых модулей. Он
качает чёрте что неизвестно откуда и ставит куда попало.
Раньше всё это безобразие ложилось в /usr/lib/ruby/gems/,
/usr/share/ и /usr/bin/. Угадайте что произойдёт при установке,
скажем, rake или rbot?
