Думаю если отцепить возможно, то стоит это все-таки сделать. В десктопных
дистрибутивах субпакет с multimedia ставить по-умолчанию.
Поясняю -- openoffice сейчас частенько используют как конвертер форматов
(запускают в vfb, а потом с его помощью конвертят doc в pdf, например).
Мне в моем seirospbx этот функционал скоро очень понадобится (от меня его
очень хотят).
