Отвечаю сам себе:
chmod 755 /var/lib/courier-authlib
Хотя странно, в postfix maildrop запускается от courier

ls -la /var/lib|grep courier-authlib
drwxr-xr-x  2 courier    courier    4096 бРТ 12 18:07 courier-authlib

cat /etc/group|grep courier
courier:x:75:courier

cat /etc/postfix/master.cf|grep maildrop
maildrop  unix  -       n       n       -       -       pipe
  flags=DRhu user=courier argv=/usr/bin/maildrop -d ${recipient}
