Я использую как сервер статического контента и реверс-прокси,
бишь "фасадный" httpd, который умеет быстро и дёшево обслуживать
много соединений и дёргать тяжёлые бэкендные апачи только тогда,
когда уже есть что спросить (весь запрос получен), отпуская сразу
же, как получен весь ответ (который потом по мере возможности
клиента ему и отдаётся).
Очень доволен.
