Скорее всего, теперь для этого процессора нужно загружать модуль
speedstep-centrino. В ядре 2.6.16 поменялся механизм, с помощью
которого ядро сообщает ACPI BIOS о своих возможностях по управлению
режимами работы процессора - если раньше нужный режим работы
устанавливался при загрузке модулей acpi-cpufreq либо
speedstep-centrino, теперь это происходит значительно раньше, поэтому
будет работать только один из этих модулей. Это изменение было
сделано из-за наличия большого количества BIOS с ошибками, которые
плохо реагируют на многократный вызов метода _PDC.
Для автоматической загрузки нужного модуля необходимо обновить
информацию в пакете hwdatabase.
