Вполне официальный HP проект. В качестве доказательства - вот официальный сайт
HP по Линуксу, где открытым тестом написано, какие именно из принтеров HP
(включая модели LaserJet) _официально_ поддеоживаются под Линуксом:

Вы лучше бы тогда уж на Canon наехали ;-).
