Вчера случился небольшой ахтунг у моего провайдера и с середины
дня не работает ADSL. Домашнюю машину пришлось перегрузить
всвязи с тестированием нового xorg-x11-{drv,dri}-ati ;-) и тут
случилось...
ppp интерфейс (PPPoE) у меня в состоянии ONBOOT=yes, настроен
через etcnet. Поскольку провайдер из-за каких-то своих
аккаунтинговых дел раз в сутки принудителььно рвёт сессию, в
pppoptions прописано persist и maxfail 0.
Ну так вот во время перезагрузки, при поднятии интерфейса etcnet
зовёт pppd с нужными параметрами и кирдык. Система стопорится,
потому как pppd ещё не соединился и не ушёл в бэкграунд, а
соединяться он хочет до второго пришествия.
Если звать ifup руками видно, что pppd создёт pty
(/usr/sbin/pppoe с параметрами), шлёт Config-Requiest'ы,
отваливаается по таймауту и продолжает пытаться дальше. Ещё
заметил, что на каждую попытку запускается очередная копия pppoe
(старые почему-то не умирают).
"На пока" выставил ONBOOT=no, но надо что-то думать. Даже не
знаю что на кого вешать...
