Не совсем такой случай, но...
Имел траблы с гигабитной Realtek, воткнутой в стомегабитный порт коммутатора -
сервак периодически валился, в основном когда повышалась нагрузка на сеть,
например при выкачке файлов с FTP-сервера.
Отказался от гигабитной - оставил на онбордной 100Мб сетевой Realtek,
всё работает безпроблемно.
