Вот опять наткнулся... Есть у нас Dell OptiPlex GX280, куплен сравнительно
недавно и весь из себя такой... чипсет i915, DDR2, USB-only и, внимание! -
видео карточка Radeon X300 (RV370) PCI-E. Сдуру сегодня я на ней обновил иксы
до последнего Сизифа (6.8.99.902-alt1), до этого стоял 6.8.2 и успешно
работал с драйвером ati/radeon и kernel-modules-drm. После обновления - иксы
виснут в процессе инициализации, черный экран. Точно то же происходило с моим
Radeon 9800XT дома на xorg 6.8.99.900, следующей сборкой это вылечилось, и
вот теперь та же картина с X300. Вернее - полное отсутствие картины. При этом
карточка правильно распознается, Xorg.0.log без жалоб доходит почти до конца,
и виснет вот на этой строчке:
(WW) RADEON(0): Unrecognized TV standard in TVOutput option ((null)), TV
output is disabled
Судя по логам с домашней машины там дальше должна идти инициализация DRI:
(WW) RADEON(0): Enabling DRM support
Вот перед ней все и виснет. Пробовал отключать DRM/DRI в конфиге всеми
мыслимыми способами - не помогает (впрочем, я это уже проходил дома с
предыдущей сборкой xorg - тоже ничего не помогало). Может кто подскажет что
бы еще покрутить?
С драйвером vesa работает нормально, даже артефакты графики удалось вылечить
путем переключения на 16-битный цвет. Но с vesa как-то невесело...
