Все правильно. Он хочет LIRC-пульт для управления.

C SS2 нужно подключить xine. Кроме того можно поставить streamdev-server
и смотреть сетевую трансляцию через Mplayer.
У меня все показывает xawtv и обычные железные телевизоры, но это SS1.

Нужно настроить просмотр спутникового телевидения.
DVB - SS2. Система: свежий Сизиф с ядром 2.6.12-wks26-up-alt4.
В /etc/channels.conf при помощи scan прописаны каналы. Трафик идет. В
оффтопике видео работает.
Тестировал две программы.
1. xine

То есть запустить xine при запущеном vdr?
