Может, не от локали, а от языка текста документа?
Во вторник спокойно проверял английский текст. Правда, в ходе
написания его, т.е. отдельно диалог не вызывал. Единственное,
что потребовалось сделать - в свойствах шрифта параграфов
поставить соответствующий язык, через контекстное меню.
OOo - второй, текущий из Sisyphus.
