Это я к тому, что может оторвать внутренний eyeD3 и использовать
внешний. Впрочем, если назначение этого пакета неясно и он не
используется, то ладно, пусть будет.

Ну, это вообще-то и есть отдельные проекты. ID3 кстати устарел и с
2002 года не обновляется, я его сопровождаю в основном по
инерции. eyeD3 умеет гораздо больше.
