По-поводу жулуза оно, конечно, да.
Меня с потеряными данными при закачке в ослике помогал вот какой рецепт:
Если временные файлы (который называются типа EEBBCD-bla-bla-bla)
копируем куда-нито в запас. Главное, каким-либо образом знать, где какой
файл. Запускаем скачивание в ослике скачивание файлов заново, глушим
ослика, потом копируем старые данные на новые файлы и делаем Verify
chunks. Может что-то и останется. Мне удавалось таким образом спасти
около 90% скачанного объема.
Есть стойкое подозрение, что имя временного файла есть его хэш в системе
eDonkey.
