Добрый день!

Пытаясь разобраться, почему перестала работать библиотека gtkglarea2 я 
долго копался и обнаружил, что почему-то одна из GL-ных функций иксов, 
до того нормально работавшая (в Сизифе от 01.12.04) после обновления до 
Сизифа от 16.03.05 стала выдавать NULL. Пример программы, которая 
демонстрирует сию ошибку прилагается. Вот результаты её работы:

Master-2.4 (Сизиф розлива 01.12.04 проверить уже не могу, но там всё 
работало):

Вкратце, функция glXChooseVisual(dpy,DefaultScreen(dpy), attrlist) с 
атрибутами attrlist[] = {GLX_RGBA, GLX_DOUBLEBUFFER, GLX_DEPTH_SIZE, 32, 
0} стала выдавать NULL вместо нормального visual. Причём если поставить 
GLX_DEPTH_SIZE, равный 16, то функция отрабатывается нормально, но мне 
важно именно 32.

Пойду на всякий случай поманьячу в bugzilla ;-D

А что в конфигах XFree и xorg?  А если 32 заменить на 24?

Какая именно часть конфигов интересует? Впрочем, в понедельник я могу 
притащить и тот, и тот полностью. Кстати, насколько я понимаю, этот 
параметр -- разрядность z-буфера, т.е. вещь к настройкам иксов отношения 
не имеющая. 32 на 24 я менять пробовал (под Сизифом) -- результат тот 
же, то есть нулевой. Под Мастером не пробовал, но попробую.

вообще к иксам это отношения не имеет, это скорее mesa. а когда в gtkglarea2 
последний раз код менялся? дело в том что скажем glxinfo ломаться вроде не 
собирается, хотя glXChooseVisual тоже использует

Возможно. Я навскидку не могу определить, где кончаются иксы и 
начинается mesa :-\

Года этак два назад. Т.е ещё до Мастера 2.4 и тем более до декабрьского 
Сизифа, в котором это ещё работало. К тому же я выяснил, что gtkglarea2 
вне подозрений, т.к. я в поисках ошибки перебирал её код, и нашёл, что 
нуль возвращвает запускаемая в ней glXChooseVisual.

М.б. там другие параметры. Я же показал, что ошибка вылезает только при 
определённом их наборе.

Это разные вещи. Там (в функции OpenGL) была разрядность z-буфера, здесь 
-- разрядность цвета. К тому же а) я не хочу увеличивать глубину цвета, 
16 разрядов меня вполне устраивает; б) до обновления иксов до 6.8.1-alt2 
(раньше стояли 6.8.1) всё прекрасно работало и без этого. Так что жду 
исправления ошибки :)

Кстати, я попробовал на всякий случай. При 32 не завелись иксы (говорят 
железо/драйвер не поддерживают), при 24 -- завелись, но при указании 
функции glXChooseVisual параметра, равного 24 или 32 -- по-прежнему 
нуль. 16 -- как работало, так и работает.
