Зависит от ситуации, между прочим. Так, навскидку:

Но это все, мягко говоря, уход от темы. Фактом остается то,
что в наличествующих в некоей домовой сети (даже двух, благо отсюда
видны обе) дивиди-рипах никаких полосок не заметно. И качество этих
рипов, опять же, на мой нечуткий глаз, вполне приемлемое, никакой
замыленности. Вопрос: как они делались? Мои эксперименты с mplayer'ом
таких результатов достичь не позволили.
Если у Вас есть конкретные рецепты "как избежать полосок" при просмотре
DVD на мониторе, не мучайте меня, прошу Вас, огласите их. Отдельно можно
про кодирование поговорить, хотя для меня это не столь актуально.
