Суть "проблемы" в следующем: есть машинка, пережившая череду
модернизаций. Менялось всё, и культурный слой очень значительный.
Только что удалил из /lib/modules разделы от 2001 года. Сейчас
это маршрутизатор на 2.4.29-std-up-alt3. Все мои попытки
перевести машину на ядро 2.6 неудачны, так как она перестаёт
понимать команду su -, без чего с ней невозможно общаться по
сети, удалённо. Не могу понять, почему она перестаёт видеть
содержимое /etc/group. Команды control, вроде, исполняет. Но
результата нет.
Рядом рабочая станция (с которой пишу). Здесь свежеустановленный
с первого диска Мастер, а затем только Сизиф. И, разумеется,
никаких проблем. Потому я и говорю о культурном слое.
Как с этим разобраться, ума не приложу. И вопрос, конечно
дурацкий. Им тут уже всем плешь проели... Сам бы не поверил, но -
факт.
