Умеет (модуль ppp_mppe_mppc; в принципе он должен загружаться
автоматически при необходимости). Но поддержку MPPE в pppd нужно явно
запрашивать в параметрах (mppe, require-mppe, ...).

А этот модуль уже есть в kernel-image-std26-up-2.6.9-alt11.i586
или нужно что-то выкачать ещё (если нужно- то что)?
