Здравствуйте.
Какие программы стоит перекомпилировать из src под процессоры отличные от i586
(например под athlon 2500+ barton), для увеличения производительности?
Т.е. в каких программах есть оптимизация под процессоры?

Можно ли добиться увеличения производительности при пережатии dvd если
перекомпилить не только xvid, но и transcode?

Да. Перекомпиляция xvid и transcode под i686 добавило +5 fps при
кодировании на DualXeon 2.4.
