Добрый день.
А будет ли обновляться sim для поддержки последней версии KDE.
И вообще sim живет или потихоньку дохнет? Т.е. лучше подождать или перейти
на что-то другое?

Текущая версия не обновляется. Вчера разработчик сказал, что скоро
доделает сильно переписанную версию. Посмотрим.

Собственно, для того, чтобы сейчас sim из Сизифа не выносило при
обновлении KDE его достаточно пересобрать с новым KDE, а так же выкинуть
из него файл /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-icq.desktop, чтобы енбыло
конфликта с kdelibs.

И повысить релиз, т.к. alt8 прописан в Conflicts руками, обозначая
конфликт по x-icq.desktop.
