У меня такое только при восстановлении сеанса (windowmaker)
т.е. если восстанавливается несколько окон мозиллы, то одна запускается, а
остальные висят с меню выбора профиля.
поборол тем, что (несколько раз подряд! :) задавал для "остальных" - "всегда
использовать профиль default" , вроде..
а поначалу я не понял, в чем глюк и создал еще один профиль ;)
