На такой машинке лучше использовать MPlayer - пересобранный без
runtime-cpu-detection и с правильно выбранной при сборке оптимизацией под
процессор (в вашем случае это mmx, mmx2, fastmemcopy) и видеокарту (вы не
указали какая - а это важно) требует раза в 1,5-2 меньше ресурсов, чем xine.

С чего вы взяли, что на проигрывание DVD (MPEG2) нужно меньше ресурсов, чем на
DivX? ИМХО как раз наоборот.
