Вообще говоря, *крупные* грабли с PXE водятся именно на Intel.
Не помню до какой версии прошивки карты оно попросту не работало,
хотя и прикидывалось, что все в порядке.
Менять карту на свежую, два года назад кривых было еще порядком,
но шли уже поправленные. Это было описано на intel.com и много
где по интернету (pxe linux intel etherexpress), но ссылку сейчас
не дам.
