В продолжение своего вопроса о средствах разработки в compact
Мне было отвечено, что таковых средств в нем нет, а все, что вошло на Compact, находится в .../Сompact/2.3/ALTLinux/RPMS.main
Будучи разочарованным я стер и свой вопрос, и ответ на него.
Но посмотрев на содержимое указанного подкаталога я обнаружил следующее:
gcc-common-1.3-alt2.i586.rpm
gcc3.2-3.2.3-alt2.i586.rpm
glibc-devel-2.2.6-alt0.10.i586.rpm
ну и еще пару-тройку *devel и других пакетов, связанных с разработкой.
Это породило новые вопросы.
При помощи указанного можно даже что-то собирать?
Это же уже по крайней мере многие мегабайты, которые не нужно закачивать.
Или это тоже только дразнилка?
И какие планы сейчас по поводу выхода Junior? Сколько еще придется ждать?
Стоит ли все-таки заказать Compact, или все-таки лучше дождаться выхода Junior?
Если до Master и Junior больше полугода, то, естественно, имеет смысл побаловаться с Compact (как раз успею получить CD по почте и вытянуть все необходимые пакеты). Если он ожидается раньше, то с Compact даже не стоит связываться, естественно, при условии, что в Junior войдут пакеты не старее тех, что в Compact.

В contrib есть срез Sisyphus от 05.12.2003 за вычетом того, что
вошло в сам ALC2.3.
