первое, что вылезло - не хотела грузиться нвидиа. добавил в /etc/modules
nvidia, nvidia-agp, пошло...
не монтируются разделы с vfat и ntfs:
/dev/hda6 /win/all vfat
user,showexec,rw,quiet,umask=0,codepage=866,iocharset=koi8-r 0 0
/dev/hda1 /win/winxp ntfs ro,auto,users,nls=koi8-r,umask=0 0 0
говорит

как бороться?
да и с CD-RW непонятки - вроде бы в ядрах 2.6 ide-scsi не нужно и я поменял
ссылку /dev/cdrom на /dev/hdc - не пашет:-((( ругается mount: /dev/cdrom is
not a valid block device
